NOVA Supports National Blood Donor Month

FAIRFAX, VA - The United States government in the DC Metro region opened two hours late due to freezing rain. However, the weather didn't stop the Northern Virginia Rugby Club's commitment to helping out the community.
NOVA Rugby successfully coordinated a blood drive with Inova Blood Donor Services, and were able to collect 25 pints. January is National Blood Donor Month and this is the time of year when the blood supply is extremely low so NOVA helped the community when it was needed most.
A special thanks goes to Glory Days Grill in Fairfax for providing a venue for of the drive. They awarded each donor with a free appetizer coupon to go with the insulated lunch cooler given by Inova Blood Donor Services.
This marks NOVA Rugby's eighth blood drive in four years, and has successfully raised more than 250 pints of blood for the northern Virginia Community in that span.
